Two more died of Covid-19 while 160 new cases were reported from the country during the past 24 hours, as per the data issued by the Union Health ministry on Wednesday.
With the detection of these cases, the Covid caseload of the country rose to 4,50,24,350, new Covid-19 variant included.
According to the data, of the new cases, 48 were reported from Karnataka, 40 from Maharashtra and 19 from West Bengal.

Ten cases were reported from the national capital.
As per the data, the death toll in the pandemic rose to 5,33,441 as two more succumbed to the disease. Karnataka and Kerala reported one death each.
On a positive note, 303 people recovered from the disease during the aforementioned period, taking the total recovery to 4,44,89,023.
The active cases in the country stand at 1,886.
